Overview

Nutcracker is divided into two sections, a 30-minute suite from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker and a 30-minute suite from Rimsky-Korsakov's Christmas Eve. Michael Halasz and the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra perform the former, while Igor Golovschin and the Moscow Symphony Orchestra perform the latter. In addition, Prunella Scales narrates the pieces. Overall, a nice two-fer highlighted by the Nutcracker suite. ~ Jason Birchmeier
