Overview

Rubaiyat of Mahasti is a poetic account of life in ancient worlds: from serf to King, lover to beloved, and to the supreme Beloved God, in the great chain of being. This is a neat Persian to English translation by Hossein Safadaran. It includes a road map, 256 quatrains, 11 other poems, and 2 couplets while being loyal to both original rhyme and content.

About the Author

Mahasti Ganjavi is one of the most resonant Persian poetic voices from the 11th century and she is of great renown for her Rubaiyat. She is also called "Shahr Ashoob" an honorific title that literally means a city rebel and technically, it is a vogue word of an "Estates Rubaiyat" artist poet in love.
Hossein Safadaran (Safa) is an international pioneer in expanding discourse of systematic model of creativity into literature. He is an art critic and an educational translator in search of grateful economic and spiritual growth.
