Jude Deveraux (1947) is an American romance author best known for her historical romances. She has had dozens of novels make the New York Times bestseller list. In 1980 she began writing the Montgomery/Taggert Family series which remains on of her most popular to this day and includes her 1989 book A Knight in Shining Armor. In more recent years she has frequently written in other romance genres such as contemporary and paranormal romances.
