Anti-Gerasone halts the aging process and prevents people from dying of old age as long at they keep taking it; as a result, America now suffers from severe overpopulation and shortages of food and resources.

Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007) made his mark with his brilliant antiwar novel Slaughterhouse-Five (1969), published during the height of the protests against the Vietnam War.
