When Beverly was a kid, she ran away a lot. Not that she’s older, she considers it leaving. She finds a place to live and is determined to forget about many things, including her dog, her friend Raymie, and her self-absorbed mother. Unable to connect with the new people around her, she eventually begins to see herself as others see her.
