Sometimes the answers we're looking for are closer than we think.

Chris Sherwood never accepted that her father's death was as simple as an accidental fall on his construction site followed by a medical error at the hospital. But she has no way of knowing how complex the situation will become until her own construction company gets pulled into the same questionable relationships her father's company had been in.

At the same time, FBI agent Ron Fenner is dealing with his own complicated set of events. Players from a past case emerge and dominate a present one. The same tipster that caused him to investigate seemingly unrelated plane crashes, now has him looking at what appears to be random shootings. Are the same dark forces at work?

Ron and Chris find themselves sharing information, but having learned his lesson, this time Ron doesn't keep the information to himself. Who will figure out what's really going on?
