Five years after the first film, the hyper-talented singing-and-dancing animals return for another whirl on-stage with Sing 2. Joining original cast members Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelly, Jennifer Saunders, Nick Kroll, and Adam Buxton, the sequel adds a few big names from the music world: Pharrell Williams, Halsey, and Bono. The latter -- who plays a past-his-prime rock star lion -- is responsible for the U2-heavy track listing, which includes covers of "Where the Streets Have No Name," "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of," and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For," as well as the band's first new song of the 2020s, "Your Song Saved My Life." In addition to being a not-so-subtle vehicle for introducing a new generation to the songs of U2, Sing 2 also showcases slick and sanitized versions of hits by Prince, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Billie Eilish, the Weeknd, Shawn Mendes, Drake, Taylor Swift, Coldplay, the Struts, Ariana Grande, and many more. Sam i, Anitta, Jarina De Marco, and BIA contribute the track "Sueltate" and Bomba Estereo deliver a "Sing 2 Mix" of "Soy Yo."
