BOOK REVIEW – “GEEN GROTER ERFENIS” – AUTHOR : FREDERICK J SMITH
PUBLISHED BY – REACH PUBLISHERS : WANDSBECK – SOUTH AFRICA
BOOK REVIEW BY MICHELLE VAN BOMMEL – HEAD OF A WELL KNOWN
NURSING COLLEGE – CAPE TOWN : Ma Cur – HEALTH SCIENCES
(NURSING)

The Author displays quite a high flair for writing and produced an interesting, mind gripping story from start to end.
The characters are portrayed in such a “real life” fashion ,that it is quite easy to associate with them throughout the development of the story line .
What makes this book an exception to the normal is the fact that the “sensual” scenes are used in such an interesting fashion as to highlight the “real life” feeling the book conveys to the reader. So often it is essential to describe certain scenes in a book of this nature to make it “real” and “alive” .The reader becomes part of this story !
The numerous twists and turns in the book make it an experience that will be remembered long after it has been read .
It will be difficult to rate this book as “Afrikaans erotica” : rather “a true life story” told by an Author with an exceptionally high insight into the life experiences of numerous female students or rather “Susara Lategan’s out there .
It can be expected that a variety of comments will be given by critics – my personal opinion is that this book will be received with great enthusiasm by the readers public .It could serve as lessons to be learned by prospective students iro the “real life” out there …..especially the sometimes ill informed “plattelandse “ students that move to the city life for further studies or even when starting a carier in the city .
I congradulate this Author on an excellent debut roman and look forward to his future publications!
Good luck and congradulations again….!

About the Author

I am an Afrikaans writer living in Centurion Gauteng.I am a pensioner retired since 1991 after serving in the SANDF (AIR FORCE) for 26 years.I am married to a marvelous wife and have three beautiful daughters, two grand daughters and three grand sons, whom I love dearly. I am addicted to reading and writing, especially in the Afrikaans language, my mother tongue. I come from a large family of ten children and was raised in the Orange Free State, one of the provinces in the Republic of South Africa. The small town of Hennenman was my inspiration to become a writer one day....although many, many years later, my dream came true. I hope that the Afrikaans readers of my books will enjoy them as much as i enjoyed writing them......i'm convinced they will love them...! xxx
