To capture a master criminal known as the Iceman, a dedicated, hard-nose cop is forced to team up with a wiseacre ex-con -- for the second time. A sequel to 1982's 48 Hrs., this action-comedy ups the violence and action, but lacks the freshness and personality of the original.
