Dr. Indra Kumar Kushwaha working as Associate Director, Plant Protection in KVK, Saharanpur247001 (S.V.P. University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut (U.P.)). He is also presently engaged in mass production of bio agents for distribution among the farmers to encourage the organic farming system in Saharanpur and adjoining areas. He is overall looking for farmers difficulties in their field crops and guide them suitable management options against insects, pests, diseases, nematodes and weeds and also to some extent about the diseases of cattle, if it is serious, called from the farmers. He acts as veterinary doctor to help the farmer's cattle. For his multifarious activities, the University authorities appreciated him for the help to the farmers. In addition, he is devoting time in mushroom cultivation. He is providing all technical knowhow to the farmers and selling the mushroom seeds to the farmers providing at subsidized rates. This extension activity in very well taken by Saharanpur farmers. Dr. Kushwaha has written two books, five chapters, 22 abstracts and number of research papers/articles in national/international journals.
