About the Author

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Bao Haojun was born in Changsha, in Southern China's Hunan Province.

Since childhood, Bao was entranced with painting and the comic arts. During summer vacations, she would travel to the countryside where she would stay in various small towns and make sketches she would later turn into paintings.

In this way, Bao came to love China's scenic sense and its architectural conceits. To these earlier loves, Bao now includes travel, watching movies, and playing video games.

Bao is a graduate of the Communication University of China where she studied animation. Three of her films, "The Other Side of the Bridge," "The Legend of Huainanzi," and "Master Jiang and the Six Kingdoms," have garnered awards, each in separate animation categories.

Bao currently lives in Beijing, where she works as an illustrator and creator of animated films.
