When you see the name George Guidall as narrator, it’s a good bet the audiobook will be highly entertaining. Guidall treats each character in this Doc Ford series installment with the utmost attention. The story features sunken treasure in the Caribbean and unsavory types who are looking for the loot. An on-the-run professor, Leonard Nickelby, is given the perfect voice as Guidall alternates between nervous hesitation and a tad of bravado. A drug-using Hollywood producer comes off as bombastic. Marine biologist Doc Ford is steady throughout. Guidall does what all good narrators do: He enhances the storytelling with a creative narration. M.B. © AudioFile 2018, Portland, Maine
