Alicia Keys' first holiday album, Santa Baby mixes four original songs with seven seasonal standards to cozy and cheerful effect. The new songs include the romantic, Jackson 5-sampling "December Back 2 June," and they're joined by renditions of staples ranging from "Santa Baby" to "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)." Keys adds a couple previously released songs: the Emeli Sande collaboration "Not Even the King," taken from Girl on Fire, and her jaunty version of "The Christmas Song," issued as a single in 2019. While holiday albums are often churned out in part to fulfill contractual obligations, this happens to mark the launch of Keys' own label, Alicia Keys Records, in spirited style. ~ TiVo Staff
