About the Author

Koyoharu Gotouge is the pen name of the author best known for the manga series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Gotouge's Demon Slayer books gained immense popularity worldwide and were adapted into anime television series. Before developing the popular series, Gotouge's works included several one-shots: Kagarigari (2013), Monju Shiro Kyodai (2014), Rokkotsu-san (2014), and Haeniwa no Zigzag (2015). The author is also the recipient of numerous awards and accolades including those from Noma Publishing Culture Awards (2020), Tokyo Anime Award Festival (2020), Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology Fine Arts Recommendation Awards (2020), Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize (2021); Japan Cartoonist Association Awards (2021), and Times 100 Most Infuential People (2021).
