Artist Tarah Luke first discovered her love of creating the unique abstract designs in the Adult Coloring Escapes? books by accident.
“I began to experiment with free-form drawing as a therapeutic art exercise,” she says, “relaxing my mind with continuous swooping and intersecting lines, and filling in the resulting shapes with detailed pattern work.”
She soon realized that coloring in the designs could be as therapeutic for others as drawing them was for her, and Adult Coloring Escapes? was born. “Each page is a work of art all on its own,” she says
.
Many of the designs included in these collections have been steady-selling prints in her exhibits for years.
