About the Author

As a travel and portrait photographer and videographer, the world is my studio. More than just exotic locations and wild adventures, my passion is to share people's way of life and cultures from around the globe. Through my work, I show the world and the people that live in it with a curious childlike vision. My intention is to use my images to open to what's behind the wall, to help the viewer to see the other, different than themselves with acceptance and appreciation.

aManda Greene (1981 -2019) was an educator, artist, and social entrepreneur with a BA in humanities and an MBA in sustainable enterprise. Raised in both the United States and Brazil with Melitta as her mother, she grew up exposed to different cultures. During her life, aManda was engaged in various art and permaculture youth development projects, including a community-based environmental circus in Bahia, Brazil; co-leading a group to a permaculture project in India, an after-school arts program in New Mexico, and an elementary school garden program in California. Finally, aManda turned her thesis for her MBA graduation into a dynamic, innovative program for young people when 2013 she co-founded "Youth Impact Hub Oakland", an organization for which she created a curriculum to develop the leadership and entrepreneurship of low-income youth by providing them with innovative training, collaborative co-working space, and access to networks. In every youth helped by "Youth Impact Hub Oakland", the torch of her legacy is carried on.
