It was another hot day in Florida. A beagle named Pete was tracking a scent through the swamps of the Everglades. He was looking for Burmese pythons, giant snakes that had once been pets. The pythons had been turned loose by their owners and, because of their huge size and great strength, were now threatening other animals in the Everglades.
